if you're in London around Christmastime
there are going to be so many beautiful Christmas lights for you to see and I'm
going to show you some of the best ones to see around central London Carnaby's lights and decorations are
usually my favorite every year and this year the theme is carnival and after you
have admired all the lights and decorations make sure you go shopping
along Carnaby Street here and check out some of the shops window displays, they are
usually quite Christmasy as well Oxford Street has one of the biggest light
displays in London it's also one of the most Instagrammed. If you want to come
visit try to come just as the sun is setting so you can try to avoid the
crazy crowds that get here in the evening Regent Street was the first street in the
West End of London to introduce Christmas lights back in 1954 and
they're actually just about to turn the lights on for the first time this year
so let's go ahead and watch a lot of the areas mentioned in this
video do a big switch on celebration at some point in November just like they're
doing here on Regent Street tonight they switch all the lights on but then they
have some entertainment sometimes some celebrities show up, and a lot of the
shops and restaurants around the area will have big discounts or even free
food and drink on offer Bond Street is a very swanky posh
shopping area and the Christmas lights here are no different the real draw
though is the over-the-top and extravagant shops and their Christmas
window displays we're in Seven Dials and they just
switched the lights on here for the first time this year about an hour ago
and there's a huge celebration going on they've got discounts at a bunch of the
stores and restaurants here there's a choir performing for everyone
they've even got free drinks it's all good fun but even if you're here not
wanting to switch on day that's okay it's definitely worth coming to see the
lights. Covent Garden is home to the city's
biggest handpicked tree so when you come to the area make sure you check that out
first then head into the market building where
you'll see all of these famous mistletoe hanging from the ceiling those have
about 700 glistening berries on them and then throughout the rest of the building
there's 100,000 pea lights. It's gorgeous. if you visit any of the Christmas lights
that I talked about in this video and you share photo on Instagram make sure
you use #Loveandlondon so I and the rest of the community can see
