New York Now and Then shows before and after photos from New York City shot 1872-1887 compared to my photos shot 2013 and 2014. New York Now and Then includes photographs of New York from between 1872 and 1887, and then and now part is in regard to the fact that I shot the images in present day in the same locations.

This short film New York Now and Then pays tribute to a forgotten 19th century photographer. Be sure to also watch the behind the scenes video New York Now and Then: The Documentary.

  2. In 70 years
    Our grandchildren will ask

Grandma/pa what is a mobile phone.. or a Computer????
And what are thee things there *Looking at powerlinemasts.

We must remember what was before the big collapse of all electric things trucks and cars

Meanwhile hey play with old chalk they have found and a very old teacher tells them what a overhead projector wa.
They look with big eyes and their parent to they know from early childhood all these things but the reminders are almost gone

  3. Excellent photography. I commented on another film that they do the same thing with old film footage. I wish I was computer savvy enough to compare the pictures side by side so video speed wouldn't be an issue when comparing then to now.
